Mystery Pier Books, Inc.

Owned and operated by the hospitable and knowledgeable father-and-son team of Harvey Jason and his son, Louis M. Jason, Mystery Pier is embraced not only for the helpful expertise of its proprietors, but also for its extraordinary selection of titles.

One may browse here at leisure through first editions (a great number of which are signed and/or inscribed) of authors from Hemingway, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald, Faulkner and Orwell, to Salinger, Ayn Rand, Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, Ian Fleming, and many, many others. It is at Mystery Pier where one may pick up an "Oliver Twist," signed by Dickens; a slim tome by Queen Victoria warmly and meaningfully inscribed by her closest friend in 1862; Churchill's six-volume "The Second World War" inscribed by him to Lord Dufferin; a superb first printing of "Ulysses," signed by Joyce; and a splendid, signed May 1936 "Gone With the Wind," in its original dust jacket.

For a taste of Hollywood, browse the "Books into Film" section, featuring a selection of works not only signed by the authors but also the stars who headlined the films. Also available at the shop are a selection of children's classics, detective & mystery rarities, and other unique finds.
