Besides the big name headliners like The Smashing Pumpkins and Slash, there are more than 50 other bands scheduled to appear at this year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival. With enough music to make your eardrums swell, trying to decide which bands to catch can be a daunting task. To help quell your festival fears, here is a list of 10 finer print bands worth checking out.

BILLY BOY ON POISON – Signed to Kiefer Sutherland’s label Ironworks Music, these four young lads are taking the music world by storm with soulful rock n’ roll jams that sound like the back catalogue of seasoned vets twice their age. Having already opened for the likes of Jet, Stone Temple Pilots, and Weezer, better catch this band while they’re still willing to step foot on a club stage.  Whisky A Go-Go, Saturday, August 28, 6:30 p.m.
