VIP Pass Gives Hotel Guests Ultimate Access To Sunset Strip Venues

Looking for a one-stop vacation destination? The Sunset Strip is providing the ultimate experience by offering guests of its world-class hotels exclusive, complimentary access to its legendary live entertainment venues. Guests staying at select hotels on The Sunset Strip will receive an All Access Pass granting them free entrance to The Strip’s music and comedy venues.

During your stay, you are invited to enjoy the Cat Club, The Comedy Store, Key Club, House of Blues Sunset Strip, The Roxy Theatre, Viper Room, the Rainbow and Whisky A Go-Go free of charge.

“The Strip has so much to offer – from dining and shopping to nightlife – just steps from all of its hotels. The All Access Pass adds to this experience and gets guests ‘on the list’, letting them bypass cover charges at top live entertainment venues in the city,” states Nic Adler, owner of The Roxy Theatre.

The All Access VIP Passes will be available to guests who request them at:

Andaz West Hollywood
The Grafton
The London West Hollywood
Mondrian
The Standard Hollywood
Sunset Plaza Best Western
Sunset Marquis

The passes are valid for the duration of the hotel guest’s stay and are subject to venue capacity and special events. One pass per guest will be issued.

“We believe we’re one of the only destinations in the country that is offering this type of exclusive VIP pass to hotel guests for automatic entry into this many venues,” explains Todd Steadman, executive director of the Sunset Strip Business Association. “It’s a great opportunity for those staying on The Strip in West Hollywood to experience the entire Sunset Strip without having to stand in line or pay a cover charge.”

The promotion begins just in time for Spring Break travel plans. Starting March 8, 2010, visitors can enjoy the views and scenery of the hotels’ pools during the day and get exclusive entrance to The Sunset Strip’s hottest entertainment venues at night. The promotion is slated to run for six months.

Thanks for your suggestions! A locals pass is a great idea and is one to explore. During the Sunset Strip Music Festival street fest on Sept. 12, guests were able to go in and out of all music venues -- as well as see live performances on the street -- for one ticket price. There was also an option to purchase a two or three-day pass for access to all venues during the fest. This was a great experience, and one we will continue this year.

Venues have explored other programs throughout the year as well, including the Viper Room and The Roxy partnering for a program that allowed you to buy one ticket and get access to both clubs. And there are also the quarterly Tweet Crawls, which give participants free entrance to the Viper Room, Roxy, The Comedy Store and other venues.

We'll definitely look into the possibility of an overall 'locals pass'. Thanks for the input!

I think this is an excellent idea...but it doesn't go far enough. The Strip should offer the general public one day and weekend passes that will allow a person to get into any of the venues. Reason being is that it will turn the Sunset Strip into a destination point for both locals and people that come from out of town if they can pay one fee and experience any of the music and comedy on The Strip. As a musician that has played The Strip for a number of years (but also a marketing guy), what tends to happen is that people come to a club to see a specific band, but once that band is done they often exit the club. These types of passes give people an incentive to go to a club they may have never been to before and see bands they may have never heard of. The sale of each pass would be divided equally among the clubs. They could be sold by the City of West Hollywood or at each club, etc.
