Tonight, relive the yester-years of The Sunset Strip with hair metal parody masters Steel Panther. Join the spandex superstars as they take the stage at the House of Blues, along with support  from local faves Diamond Lane and Vera Mesmer. Tuesday, July 17 probe the disturbingly creative mind of cult author Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club) as he discusses the “re-release” of his infamous third publication Invisible Monsters. PICK OF THE WEEK: Those fans lucky enough to snag a pair of tickets will be heading to The Roxy Theatre on Wednesday, July 18 for the punk rock cabaret sounds of Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra. Best known as the mastermind behind The Dresden Dolls, this theatrical performance artist takes her live show to new heights as a solo act. Bringing together a shockingly sexy mix of standup and adult superstars, don’t miss The Naughty Show this Thursday, July 19 at The Comedy Store. Hosted by Sam Tripoli, this long running adult’s only variety show will feature burlesque dancing by porn legend Tera Patrick, the comedic stylings of Anthony Jeselnik (Comedy Central Roasts), Last Comic Standing’s Doug Benson, and if that wasn’t enough, proceeds from the show will go to AbolishSlavery.org.  Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20. www.thecomedystore.com

 

Friday, July 20 The Viper Room celebrates The 25th Anniversary of Guns N’ Roses Appetite for Destruction. This tribute night will pay homage to one of the most quintessential rock records of all time, as The Lonely Drunks Club Band performs the landmark album in its entirety, along with super secret surprise special guests.
