While you may not be invited to the royal nuptials between Prince William and Kate, you can enjoy their favorite pastime: afternoon tea. Discuss every detail of the wedding of the century, including the most amazing fridge ever, while enjoying a selection of teas and savory and sweet tea time bites at Boxwood Café’s recently launched “Royal-tea” service.
From 2:30-4:30 p.m. daily you can enjoy a selection of proper finger sandwiches (black brioche, smoked salmon and cucumber, hummus with crisp shallot, curried chicken with golden raisins, and roast beef with red onion marmalade), freshly baked traditional scones and a wide variety of pastries, including a candied ginger chiffon wedding cake fit for a prince and princess. Additional sweet treats include crown royal English trifle, Westminster Abbey chocolate mousse, and blue sapphire macarons.
Want to keep the celebratory spirit going? Finish your tea time with a glass of bubbly and a toast the future king and queen. The special “Royal-tea” menu will be available throughout the month of April.
Service is $28 per person. For reservations, please call 310.358.7788 or visit www.thelondonwesthollywood.com.
