Spring Fashion Blooms At Live! On Sunset

Spring is in the air and warmer weather and sunnier skies here. To celebrate, Live! On Sunset recently hosted a Spring Runway Party showcasing the season's new trends.

The store was fully stocked with new clothing and accessories for spring, along with an open bar and an even bigger open candy bar with mini cupcakes. “Fun!” is definitely the word of the season as models not only walked the catwalk but danced an intricate and well composed routine to live music on stage, demonstrating that movement, bold color, texture and self-expression are what’s in style.

The Comedy Store & The Rainbow Prepare For 40th Anniversary Celebrations

Two influential Sunset Strip landmarks, The Comedy Store and the Rainbow Bar & Grill, are set to celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversaries by hosting special events to mark the occasion. This Sunday, April 15, the Rainbow will host an outdoor party from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. featuring a dozen bands set to perform on an outdoor stage and inside the Rainbow.

On Saturday, April 21, The Comedy Store will continue the party when they celebrate 40 years of laughs with a star-studded comedy show featuringrising comedians of today and famous alums in attendance.

The Sunset Strip Invades Your TV In ABC's "Sunset Boulevard" Special!

Tune in (or set your DVRs) this Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET/PST to catch The Sunset Strip, as the world famous boulevard is featured in ABC’s “20/20” two-hour special “Sunset Boulevard.” The Sunset Strip is one of the sections of the 22 mile boulevard’s stretch included in the broadcast that reveals some of the riveting stories and pivotal moments in the make-it or break-it world of Sunset Boulevard.

The special includes interviews with Johnny Depp, Slash, Keanu Reeves, Mickey Rourke, Alice Cooper and Hugh Hefner, all featured in the recent documentary Sunset Strip The Movie. This month marked the 18th anniversary of the passing of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. A sudden and unexpected tragedy that has come to signify the end of the “alternative rock” movement’s golden era. 

The event carried additional weight for guitarist Eric Erlandson (Hole, solo artist), Cobain’s close friend, confidant, musical collaborator, and sometimes trusted “watch-over.” Erlandson is finally confronting and coming to terms with the event that changed his life and the music world forever with a collection of 52 prose poems titled Letters to Kurt. The Eveleigh Brings The Farm, And Education, To The Table With Sunday Suppers

The Eveleigh is taking the “farm to table” dining movement to the next level with their monthly Sunday Supper dinner series. The new series focuses on seasonal, market-driven produce and includes a 30 minute educational component in addition to a family-style dinner.

The first Sunday Supper was held March 18 and featured produce from Windrose Farm as well as a lamb butchery lesson prior to the dinner. Chef Jordan Toft showed guests firsthand how to properly butcher an entire animal from head to toe to get the freshest meat and utilize the entire animal. Bill Spencer, owner of Windrose Farm, was in attendance to add his knowledge on biodynamic agriculture, the difference between hoggets and lambs, and the process of farming local produce.
