Former Frontman of The Ringers Joins New Tribe of Indians

Last week, former frontman of L.A.’s beloved garage-glam band The Ringers, Joe Hursley, returned to the world famous Viper Room for a CD release party with his brand new incarnation, Indians.

Multi-instrumentalist Tommy Walter began his musical career as one of the founding members of trip-rock innovators the Eels. Since then Walter has moved on to producing, writing music for television and film, and fronting his own solo creative endeavor Abandoned Pools.

SSMF PREVIEW: BLACK VEIL BRIDES

In true “Behind The Music” style, Black Veil Brides moved to Hollywood following the rock n’ roll dream; and in three short years, the band has gone from being virtually homeless to having a major label deal, to performing at the 2011 Sunset Strip Music Festival alongside forefathers Mötley Crüe.

Roller Coasters And Set Times, SSMF Is Heating Up!

Organizers for the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival have announced that 2011 honorees Motley Crue will be turning The Sunset Strip upside down this year and bringing the "360" vertical drum roller coaster direct to the boulevard!

The “360” features Tommy Lee being launched into multiple vertical loops while continuing to perform. To add to the insanity, Lee will pick a SSMF fan from the audience to join him for his crazy ride.

 Besides the big name headliners performing at this year’s SSMF street fest -- you know, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Public Enemy -- the clubs that line our fair Strip are also showcasing the best of the best in L.A.-based locals.

SSMF PREVIEW: ESCAPE THE FATE

From the blistering heat of the desert comes the blistering post-hardcore sounds of Escape The Fate.  And this Saturday, August 20 the SSMF will transport the “Sin City” boys from the Las Vegas Strip to The Sunset Strip, to perform on our outdoor stage alongside friends and rock dot pioneers Mötley Crüe.
